Inspiration

Today I write about Inspiration...as there have been many people who have inspired my till now in my journey...everyday I am inspired with my encounters with different people, situations, events etc. It need not be always the great things need to inspire even small situations can inspire us. We all have some  inspirations to move ahead and reach our purpose or goal in life. I remember during my schooldays  I had been greatly inspired by Swamy Vivekananda, Ramkrishna and his teachings.
Inspiration
Today I want to draw and inspiration from this story which I read in one of motivational speakers blog….
A teenager at 15, thinks his father is ignorant. The man doesn't much about music, latest technologies, is always preaching, and lives in a distant old era.The same teenager when turns 25, finds his father to be more knowledgeable. The old man knows how to handle finances, he can discuss current affairs, but is still stuck in a distant era. When the young man turns 35, he finds his father to be an extremely learned. The guy knows a lot on how to behave with the wife, his parenting techniques mostly are right and he can teach a few tricks on how to save money. Now at 45, the man misses his father. The father passed away a few years ago. He remembers how stupid he behaved as a teenager, and how much more there was too learn... by this time his own teenage son starts a new cycle!!
Take inspiration from this and don’t wait to show love to your l
oved ones.

Humor

Humor is one of important spices needed in our life to make life run in normalcy mode. Humor has lots of benefits on physical and mental health. Adults seem to have a harder time with this concept, since they only laugh an average of about 15 times a day, as compared to a 4-year old who laughs about once every four minutes.
Physical benefits:  Increases Immunity, lowers stress hormones, relaxes muscles and prevents heart diseases.
Emotional Benefits: Healing from Depression, anxiety, anger, improves mood, adds happiness, energy and enhances self esteem, hope and brings in change in attitude.  Humor can also act as a coping mechanism that can help relieve hostility and anger. It can also help us to put situations into perspective. Sometimes we exaggerate a situation and make things seem worse than they really are. Humor allows us to detach ourselves and take a fresh look at something, and be more realistic about it.
Social Benefits: Humor can be used for bonding, releasing tension, attracting a mate, putting a rival in his place, or entertaining a child.
One can create situations of humor in their life
Watching comedy movies/channels  with friends or family or alone, reading funny books, join laughter clubs, have time for fun activities with family or friends, spend time with small children, have more people around you who share lots of humor, smile, count your blessings, be content with what you have and have a sense of gratitude etc.
I understand sometimes its difficult to have humor in our life with all the challenges but humor is a strong tool that will help us to overcome these challenges and face life as it comes.

Greediness

Greediness
Today the thought that came to my mind is Greedy. Greed is like a dark side of every man, and you could not see it from the appearance of a man, but in the inside the greedy instinct tries dominating you--Steven Eric Chen. Greediness is an intense strong or excessive desire for wealth or possession, especially wishing to possess more than what one needs or deserves. Some students get greedy to earn more and more knowledge. Some persons are greedy to learn more and more so that they may do something great. Not all greed have negative consequences.
Great people like Mahatma Gandhi, Swami Vivekananda, Mother Teresa had the greed for helping people who suffered, which pushed them to crave for more   knowledge and learn more about sufferings of people. Greed of innovation has led to invention of computers, gadgets. The greed for knowledge has led them to explore the moon, which was considered as something impossible thousands of years ago. Lord Buddha’s quest and greed to find his answers to questions about life led to his enlightenment.
Greed can lead to motivation and motivation at times can benefit those that are all around this single person. Greed is what motivates us to reach the heights of success . It acts like a fuel to us for which we toil to achieve.Greediness –if  the right kind of selfishness--an honoring of the true Self--is essential to emotional and spiritual self-healing. So the key is the secret to being selfish in the right way, at the right time and right
measure.Greediness in negative connotation    causing hatred, anger, jealousy, self harm, frustration, harm to environment, killing   is harmful which should be realized and stopped at.

I feel its important to balance between Need and Greed.

Father

Today I thought will pen down about Father. One of the greatest gifts a child has is Father, and another is Mother.  As soon as I think of my father a smile comes to my mind. He has been a constant source of encouragement to me.  A father is said to be   a son’s first hero and daughter’s first love. Today I am focusing on Father.
A father’s love is as important as a mother’s love. They say children who live with both father and mother tend to have better cognitive achievement, behavior outcomes, and academic performance. Children raised in happy families where both father and mother are involved in parenting is said to have more stable and healthy relationships as adults.
As rightly pointed Different  Indian languages we address father--  Daddy(English) ,Papa (Hindi) , Baba (Bengali,Assamese, Oriya,Marathi) Nana (Telugu), Appa(Tamil) Achan(Malayalam), Appa  Thande(Kannada),Pai(Konkani) Bapuji (Gujrati) and so on..
A Father's Love
A father is respected because
He gives his children leadership...
Appreciated because
He gives his children care...
Valued because
He gives his children time...
Loved because
He gives his children the one thing
They treasure most - himself
FATHER--
F-forever with his family
A-Always there for you no matter what
T-The only one who’s there
H-He is my hero till the end
E-Encourage  in everything I do
R-Really the first hero.
I know there are many who have not been lucky to have father as role models…. Today I am praying  for them…
In the comment I request you to add how you address your father and add a few lines about your father...
